Tott Doneeta - Page 2

Master Arca was watchman of the worlds of the Onderon system, and the planet of Onderon was a world long plagued by war and conflict. Accepting the responsibility and receiving word from the Jedi Council that the battles on Onderon needed to be quelled, Arca realized that it would be a perfect, preparatory mission for Tott, Ulic, and Cay. For hundreds of years on the planet of Onderon, the citizens of the walled city of Iziz were in constant danger of attacks from the wild beastriders, criminals from the city who had been cast out into the harsh wilderness as punishment. Tott, Ulic, and Cay were being sent to meet with Queen Amanoa, monarchal ruler of Iziz to discuss plans of dealing with the beastriders.

So, without their master, their first solo mission, Tott, Ulic, and Cay journeyed to Onderon in the Nebulon Ranger. The trio did not have to wait long to find trouble on Onderon; as soon as the Jedi entered the planet's atmosphere, on their way to the Iziz spaceport, their ship came under attack from the beastriders. Avoiding a battle at first, they flew to within range of the city's defenses, and Iziz's wall guards used the gun turrets to allow Tott and the Jedi to land the ship safely. Even after the Jedi escaped the threat of the beastriders, they got into a scuffle with the palace guards about Tott Doneeta, an alien, entering the palace. That scuffle was further interrupted as a company of beastriders made it past the wall defenses and crashed through the skylights of the palace.

Tott, Ulic, and Cay were able to defend themselves and Queen Amanoa, but not before the Queen's daughter, Galia, was kidnapped by the beastriders. Demanding that the Jedi go and find her daughter, Tott, Ulic, and Cay took their ship into the wilderness of Onderon in search of the beastriders home base. Far from the city, over the forests of Onderon, the Jedi's ship was hit by a torpedo, compliments of the beastriders. Managing to land the ship safely, but disabled, the Jedi crashed into the forests, at the mercy of the unknown dangers the wilderness offered, not to mention the beastriders. It was here in the wilderness that Tott's ability to speak with wild beasts came in handy. Making friends with a giant boma beast, Tott, Ulic, and Cay rode it further into the forests to the palace of Modon Kira, leader of the beast riders.

The Jedi trio burst into the palace atop the boma beast right in the middle of a wedding ceremony. It turns out that the kidnapping was staged, so that Galia could get away from her mother to marry her true love, Oron Kira, son of Modon Kira, and Galia had no wish to return to the city or to her mother. From the beastriders, Tott and the Jedi learned that the city of Iziz was thick with the Dark Side, and the so-called criminals that were cast into the wilderness, were only those who refused to be ruled by the Dark Side and opposed it. Ulic felt that if they could return to Iziz, and reveal to the Queen Galia and Oron Kira's marriage, it could mark the end of war between Iziz and the beastriders.
